Book Fair/ Book Club

They are in charge of the Scholastic Book Fairs, which require a large amount of volunteers to run the fair throughout the whole day, so that hundreds of books can be donated to children.  This happens twice a year and is one of the largest events on the campus. To get involved email:

Math Club

Definitely the most consistent committee, where you tutor children at Summit Elementary in mathematics.  This is a weekly event that is fun and always rewarding! To get involved email:

Scholastic Book Orders

This committee is in charge of the Scholastic Book Table located upstairs where teachers and students can order books.  These books can be used for clinic or just to enjoy.  To find out about orders or how to help contact:

Birthday Calendar 

This is a fun committee where you get to set up the birthday calendar and be creative in decorating it differently. 
NSSLHA/ASHA drive:
Fundraisers:  this committee is vital to the survival of NSSLHA in that whenever an event or committee is planning an activity, this is the committee that does it all!  From bake sales to benefits this committee is all year long. To join in the fun email:

Homecoming Week

This committee works on getting two events going: Street Painting and the Homecoming Street Parade.  Even though this is only one week of the year it goes fast and requires a lot of planning.  This committee won’t meet until next year’s Homecoming.

Department T-shirt/Hoodies 

The most visual committee, you will help design next years COMD-DE  T-shirts and Hoodies.  This is a one- time committee but is fun and the extra money you make will be added to the NSSLHA fund.

African American Read–In 

This is a giant project that is happening this first week of February, where African American culture books will be collected and then donated to schools are around the local area.  Contact:

Dr. Seuss Day 

One of the greatest days of the year where Dr. Seuss is celebrated by the reading of his books everywhere!  This committee gets books and reads them to children so as the encourage fun reading! To join in email:
